Opposition to harming children and young people

The city of Elk has the global orange ribbon campaign under the slogan "19 days violence and harm to children and young people." Its primary objective is to is to create a world in whichchildren and youngpeople they can feel safe and happy.

The aim of the campaign is to increase public involvement in anti-violence against children. Positive feedback is promoted anti-violence solutions, motivating communities local authorities to work for children who have been harmed, as well as social education providing knowledge of the phenomenon of child abuse and how to deal with this problem.

The Campaign symbol is an orange ribbon with "YES to prevention of child abuse!" ( "Yes to protect the child from harm"). The world campaign was created by the Women's World Summit Foundation (WWSF). The organisation was established in the 1990s in Geneva and its overarching objective support for women, children and NGOs.
