This year's calendar of events creates offer prepared m.in. by urban institutions: municipal sports and Recreation, Ełckie cultural center, historical Museum, a municipal public library or the Centre of environmental education.

Among the many events will take place at the ones that are well known for years, m.in. Masurian Balloon Competitions, the Festival of "fire and water" or Games MTB Star Mazurska. In this year also the strongest can once again try his hand during RUNMAGEDDON, or extremalnego run with obstacles. In the event, children can take part – on the route of the Kids. Those who like strong combat sports will have the opportunity to watch the Gala of professional boxing, and the authorities of the Gala.

In turn, for hunters, leśnikach and lovers of wild game Hunting Festival will take place in September organized by the hunting circle.

This year's cultural and concert hall "bursting at the seams", which causes the Elk will be one of the most musical cities in Warmia and Masuria. On the ełckiej music scene will play m.in. Stanisława Celińska, Robert Kasprzycki, Voo Voo, Bovska, Ew, Margaret, Magda Umer, Doda, Anna Maria Jopek or Marcin Pyciak. This year the novelty will be the weekly dances at the Sundial (on the square with Rusałka.) with live music by ełckich.

As every year, the city has many attractions for children. One of the main events is, of course, National Children's day, during which the children will receive gifts and will be able to use the prepared entertainment.
