Flag Day of the Republic of Poland and Constitution Day 3 May

May 1 is 16. anniversary of Poland's accession to european Union.

May 2 is Flag Day of the Republic of Poland. Our flag is a hallmark, it is symbol uniting and connecting Poles at home and abroad, visible symbol our nationality. We encourage you to display flags during the holidays in our homes.

May 3, the whole Poland celebrates the anniversary of the constitution on 3 May. We are proud that she was is the second in the world – after the American, and the first modern in Europe Constitution. Since its announcement, it has remained a kind of heritage for successive generations of the Polish People and is a rich treasure trove of state and political thought.

For the first time, we are celebrate important dates for Poles in a completely different way than before. Unfortunately, the state of the pandemic does not allow us to meet, as every year celebrate together. However, this does not mean that we cannot celebrate these holidays State. We encourage you to show your patriotism, for example. by displaying flags state and urban buildings in their homes or apartments, we also encourage you to take part in initiatives prepared by urban units.

President Elk will represent and 3 May will lay flowers at the monument "Fallen for Free and Independent Poland", and will also take part in the Holy Mass of the intention of the homeland in the Ełcka Cathedral.

Historical Museum in Elk and the Ełckie Cultural Centre for commemoration of the Flag Day and the Feast of the Constitution on 3 May prepared actions, that will be implemented m.in. social media and social media Web.

The Historical Museum in Elk posted an educational video about the Constitution on 3 May and a presentation containing information about flag day. These materials teachers schools will be able to use for remote education purposes.

The Ełcki Cultural Centre has published m.in. art competition for children " Design a mask for a friend", a competition that will already teach from an early age of the principles of social responsibility. Sunday May 3 will publish a video on social media in which the inhabitants of Elk thank you, as part of the "Thank you..." campaign
