International Day of Nurses and Midwives is celebrated on May 12. This year it has a special dimension due to the coronavirus. Unfortunately, social restrictions are still in place and this year traditional celebrations and meetings will be held, which over the years have stressed the importance of that day.

President Ełku Tomasz Andrukiewicz submitted to the nurses and midwives, best wishes and respect and appreciation for their daily efforts, commitment and dedication. He also wished for health, perseverance and strength for every day and satisfaction with the work done. Our gratitude to the nurses, and all healthcare professionals should be shown to be every day, not just on the occasion of their feast. This daily work and commitment we appreciate especially now that the whole world is struggling with the corona virus epidemic.
