For several days now, low air temperatures. Unfortunately, this makes the elderly and younger residents of our city who are tempted to enter the frozen lake m.in. to slip, take shortcuts or check how thick its layer is. In such behavior, they do not see a threat. Often do not reflect on how tragic this may have consequences.

"Think before you will enter the ice. Be smart. Choose life" - is the message of the educational video prepared in 2018 by the Elk City Council. His message, however, is still Current.

The video observes before entering frozen water bodies, including, in particular, on the surface of Lake Ełcki. The situation is particularly dangerous when, after long period of frosts begin to melt. The wrong decision to enter the frozen ice can end in tragedy.
