The best athletes awarded

President Elk awarded 13 scholarships and 5 sports awards for distinguished Ełów athletes and a coach. The ceremony took place today (February 16) in the city hall.

A scholarship is a form of material support for players and coaches, enabling the development of a sports career. It is awarded in recognition of the level of sport presented by players and coaches and achievements in a given discipline on the national and international stage.

The award is a tribute to the player for the level and high sporting performance presented by him, for the coaches and instructors for their involvement or for the high performance of their players, as well as clubs (including those operating in the form of associations), sports associations, institutions, for high sporting performance or activities for the development of physical culture in Elk.

A total of 27 applications for prizes and sports scholarships were received in the scholarship call until June 2021. After reviewing the recommendation of the scholarship and sports awards team that considered the applications submitted, President Elk awarded a total of 13 scholarships and 5 awards.

Today (February 16) a meeting was held in The Elek Town Hall, during which Deputy President Artur Urbański presented scholarships and prizes.

Scholarships were awarded to:

1st Adrian Krukowski - player of the Municipal Boxing Club MAZUR
1st place - International Boxing Tournament for the Bear Cup
1st place – Polish Grudziądz (Warmińsko – Mazurskie Association of Amateur Boxing)
5 – 8th place – Polish Championship
2. Natalia Kuczewska - contestant of the Municipal Boxing Club MAZUR
1st place - International Boxing Tournament for the Bear Cup
1st place - International Silesian Championship
1st place - Brandenburg Cup Round Robin International Tournament
1st place - Junior Polish Championship
3rd place - European Youth Championship
3. Tadeusz Biryło - coach of MKB MAZUR

The total amount of scholarships awarded for a period of 5 months (February - June) is PLN 31,250, while prizes were spent PLN 2,500.

In the budget of the city of Elk for 2021, a total amount of PLN 90,000 is planned, including:
prizes: 10 thousand PLN
sports scholarships: PLN 80,000.

Applications for awards and awards can be submitted throughout the year, while sports scholarships can be submitted on two dates until 30 June and until 30 December.
