After reviewing the recommendation of the Chapter, which assessed the applications submitted this year, the president of Ełk decided to awarding 13 scholarships. Scholarship holders represent the following fields: music, singing, photography, theatre, visual arts and singing. The President handed over scholarships today
in the Ełk town hall the first group - 7 people.

The scholarship is intended for people particularly talented, who represent a high artistic level, living or operating in our city. It is an expression of recognition of the candidate's achievements, it is also a form of support for further development artistic artists, creators of culture and art.

Artistic scholarships are awarded from 2013. The total value of scholarships for 2022 is PLN 43,000. In 10 years 104 scholarships were awarded, for the amount of PLN 396,000.

Scholarship holders in 2022:

1. Malgorzata Natalia Trojanowska (category – vocals)

Outstanding vocalist - soprano, graduated with honors from the University of Music Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw (solo singing).

2. Rafał Sulima (category – music)

A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Branch in Warsaw Bialystok; conductor of the Kontrapunkt choir, gave numerous concerts in Ełk and in Country. Laureate of many prestigious music competitions.

3. Jacek Brzoznowski (category - music)

A graduate of the Academy of Music in the field of symphonic and opera conducting, winner of awards in numerous domestic and foreign music competitions.

4. Anna Sochacka (category - theatre, dance)

Director dancer, actress, performer, choreographer, artistic pedagogue.

5. Weronika Miezianko (category - vocals)

Young vocalist, student of the School Complex No. 2 in Ełku, participant of Vocaling Studio Sylwia Wasilewska and Pracownia Musical and Artistic Aleksandra Szejda, she also attends the Author's School Musical cooperating with the "Roma" Theatre in Warsaw.

6. Jan Jakub Piotrowski (category - vocals)

Young vocalist with numerous successes in competitions vocal at regional and national level,  initiator of aid actions, student of the First High School in Ełk.

7. Adam Pietkiewicz (category - music)

Guitarist, composer, graduate of the School Ensemble Music I and II degree in Ełk, winner of prizes at guitar competitions in Ełk In Poland and abroad, he performed with concerts in Poland, Spain, France, at Lithuania.

8th Kamila Guzewicz (category - vocals)

Animator with a large achievements in the field of cultural and cultural projects Social. Involved in the promotion and saving from oblivion of songs and traditional songs. Composer of traditional song arrangements.

9th. Wojciech Popielarz (music)

Musician and composer. Laureate of the composition competition "Gomel" Belarus. Author of music for the "Roman Triptych of John Paul II". Winner of the Special Award Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Awarded the Silver Medal of Merit President of the Republic of Poland. During his musical activity, he gave over 200 concerts in Poland and abroad.

10th Artur Gutowski (category - photography)

Talented photographer, student of the State Film School Television and Theatre in Łódź, whose photos are published m.in in National Geographic.

11th Mariusz Wachulewicz (category - visual arts)

Painter, graduate of the New England Institute of Technology, author numerous murals (including a mural in the gate at Chopina Street in Ełk), paintings, tattoo maker

12th Edmund Korzeniewski (category - visual arts)

A visual artist, he perfected his workshop on excellent American universities, author of many domestic and foreign exhibitions

13th Katarzyna Marta Szkatuła (category - music)

A talented flautist, she has numerous successes in the country and for border, student of class V of the Ignacy Paderewski Music School Complex in Bialystok II degree
