In the relationship with Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its commitment to providing comprehensive of assistance to Ukraine and its citizens, the Voivodship Office in Olsztyn provides information on the risks and attempts to use refugees for forced labour, or other forms of exploitation at work or in sexual services or other cases abuse.

For gov.pl: The current situation at the border Polish-Ukrainian gives the opportunity to activate various types of groups criminals seeking to make a quick profit by exploiting the dramatic situation of those fleeing military aggression and humanitarian catastrophe. The war background and the movement of large groups of refugees require a special draw attention to the issue of crimes and counteract attitudes pathological or wicked treatment of people. In the face of these special risks should be focused primarily on the group of children and women who can it is relatively easy to become victims of the crime of trafficking in human beings.

In connection with the above, the Presidial Office of the Headquarters Border Guard and the Department of International Affairs and Migration of the Ministry of Interior and Administration jointly developed a leaflet addressed to the citizens of Ukraine in terms of content and graphics crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border. For any suspicion of human trafficking - citizens of Ukraine, as well as all others states may ask for assistance from the National Information and Consultation Centre.
