The meeting, which took place on March 9 at the town hall, was attended by six representatives U.S. Army with 1st Battalion 185th Infantry headed by Captain Sean Oneill.

Soldiers who are stationed in Masuria are interested in taking cooperation with the Ełk local government. During today's conversation with the President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, Captain Sean Oneill and his colleagues declared readiness to help
and joint actions. The President thanked for the commitment and cooperation to date. The President noted that in the current difficult situation Ukrainian-Russian war, extremely it is important to coordinate services and institutions, non-governmental organizations. The soldiers expressed their willingness to join in helping refugees from Ukraine, organize fundraising and necessary things.

Captain Sean Oneill and his associates declared their willingness to participate not only in events organized in the city, but also in state ceremonies and in educational meetings with children in schools.
