Rules for admitting children from Ukraine to Polish schools

Children and young people from Ukraine can continue their education in primary schools and secondary under the same conditions as Poles. It is enough that the parents or caregivers will submit an application to the facility of their choice. Primary schools should be chosen in the area of his place of residence. Younger children can be enrolled in municipal kindergartens.

School

Students from Ukraine at compulsory school age and compulsory education (7-18 years) are admitted to public schools and taken care of, as well as teaching on conditions for Polish citizens.

Admission to schools are possible throughout the school year, and the determination of the class in which the study continues is carried out on the basis of the sum completed years of schooling abroad. Simply apply, and the primary school, in the area in which the child lives, accepts ex officio.

Taking students coming from abroad is regulated at the statutory level. In the legal basis of the student's stay in the Polish is irrelevant.


Kindergarten

In of the school year 2021/2022, the number of children in the kindergarten branch may be increased for a maximum of three children, who are citizens of Ukraine, who entered the the territory of the Republic of Poland directly from Ukraine in connection with hostilities carried out on the territory of that State. In connection with above children from Ukraine can be reported to any kindergarten run by the City of Ełk.
