From April 4, further changes in traffic organization

Further work will begin under the
reconstruction of the Rail Baltica railway and as part of the construction of Norwida Street. In a relationship
with this, changes will be made to the organization of traffic, which may cause difficulties.
From 4 April 2022 :
- Norwida Street will be closed on the section from Cmentarna Street to Matejki Street (along the cemetery) – in connection with the commencement of construction of Norwida Street. Works commissioned by the City of Ełk.
- pedestrian crossing will be closed through the railway tracks between Sikorskiego Street and Witosa Street. Work carried out as part of the railway reconstruction of Rail Baltica. Approximate closing time: until 30 April 2022 Pedestrian traffic will take place at the existing level crossing of the streets Sikorski/Łukasiewicz.
The Budimex leaflet handed over to the residents of Ełk illustrates the scope of work and indicative deadlines, which are subject to change.
In addition, information on further closures road and rail, possible changes in public transport or other changes in traffic will be communicated to residents on an ongoing basis and posted on the website of the www.elk.pl and Facebook of the City Hall.
