Poland has been in the EU for 18 years

May 1 is not only Labor Day, but also the 18th anniversary of joining
Polish to the European Union.
In 2004, May 1 Poland joined the European Union by virtue of the Accession Treaty signed 16 April 2003 in Athens. The actual process of integration Polish has begun in Athens on 8 April 1994 when Poland submitted an application for membership of the European Union and its confirmation by all countries member at the Essen Conference on 9–10 December 1994.
