Revitalization (literally: revival, restoration to life) is the process of introducing changes in this part of the city, which is characterized by the accumulation of negative phenomena – primarily social, but also related to the economy, environment, infrastructure or urban space.

The City of Ełk has prepared a special an analysis on the basis of which the boundaries of areas requiring specific requirements were proposed Support. The designation of these areas by a resolution of the Ełk City Council will enable development of the Municipal Revitalization Program – a document in which they will be planned concrete actions to overcome negative phenomena in revitalization area.

The aim of the public consultation is, m.in, the exchange of knowledge and information and getting to know the opinions in on the proposal to designate a degraded area and a revitalization area in Ełk. Consultations are addressed to residents, representatives of non-governmental organizations, entrepreneurs, property managers and all persons/entities interested in the revitalization process in Ełk.
