Celebrations of the 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

Monday, August 1 is the 78th anniversary the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. At 5.00 p.m. laying flowers at the Monument to the Fallen for Free and Independent, and at 5 p.m. 18.00 Holy Mass in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk.

Rebellion Warsaw is one of the most important events of the Second World War for Poles World. August 1 is a significant day not only for the residents of the capital, but also also for the whole country. The 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising reminds us of those who died fighting for a free Poland.

The programme for 1 August is as follows:

  • 5.00 p.m. laying flowers at the Monument Fallen for Free and Independent Poland (Solidarity Park in Ełk)
  • 6.00 p.m. Holy Mass in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk

On this day at At 17.00 the alarm sirens will also be activated.

Remark! Citizens Ukraine staying in our city and province, these are only sirens as part of exercises. Please remain calm. There is no need to worry.
