83rd anniversary of the USSR's aggression against Poland

In Saturday (17 September) marks the 83rd anniversary of the Soviet Union's aggression against Poland. In the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk there will be a Holy Mass, and then under The Monument to the Victims of Katyn and Smolensk will be given flowers and a tribute Victims.

On September 17 (Saturday) there will be a celebration of the 83rd anniversary the Soviet Union's aggression against Poland. To participate in the celebration invites President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz and Director of the Historical Museum in Ełk Rafal Żytyniec. Soviet aggression hastened the fall and dismantling of our a country that at that moment irretrievably lost its territory in the Borderlands Eastern. Poland and its citizens were trapped. Deportations to Siberia, persecution of Poles, crime against Polish officers in Katyn and later dependence on Moscow was the aftermath of the aggression of the German and allied Army Red for our country.

Program Celebrations:

  • 6.00 p.m. – Holy Mass in the Cathedral of St. Adalbert in Ełk
  • after the Holy Mass, laying flowers at the Monument to the Victims of Katyn and Smolensk (at the cathedral) and paying tribute to the victims
