PLN 6.5 million of government support for Ełk

City Ełk will receive PLN 6.5 million in funding as part of government support Local governments. A conference was held yesterday (24 October) in the Ełk Town Hall, during which was officially handed over to the authorities of the Municipalities of the Ełk Poviat. The handover was attended by m.in. Wojciech, Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Kossakowski, Warmian-Masurian Voivode Artur Chojecki and representatives local governments of the Ełk Poviat.

The government has entered into force a law that provides for additional money for local governments for current expenses or investments. Amount co-financing of local governments from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship amounts to approx. 500 PLN million.

Yesterday (October 24) in A meeting was held at the Ełk City Hall, which was attended by m.in. Wojciech Kossakowski, Member of the Polish Parliament, Warmian-Masurian Voivode Artur Chojecki, Mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, Starosta Ełcki Marek Chojnowski, as well as vogts and representatives of the municipalities of the Ełk Poviat. During the meeting were forwarded promises to local governments confirming the allocation of funds by the government.

The city of Ełk received a promise in the amount of over PLN 6,555,142. The appropriation will be used for current expenditure related to the daily functioning of the city (m.in lighting or energy and will contribute to the 2023 budget.
