Program is financed under the Solidarity Fund and will be implemented until 31.12.2022, 954 were acquired for its purpose 720 thousand PLN.

The program provides support in performing daily activities and functioning in social life:

1) children up to 16 years of age with a certificate of disability including indications: permanent necessity or long-term care or assistance of another person in connection with limited possibility of independent existence and the need for constant participation on a daily basis, the child's guardian in the process of its treatment, rehabilitation and Education

2) disabled persons with disability certificate:

• of a significant degree
• moderate
• treated on an equal footing with the above listed in accordance with Article 5 and Article 62 of the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled people (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 573).

Program it also provides:

• improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, in particular by enabling them to do so independent living;
• support for people with disabilities and provides assistance adequate to your needs;
• participation of persons with disabilities in social, cultural, entertainment or sporting events, etc.;
• co-financing of local government units territorial as part of the implemented tasks aimed at social support people with disabilities;
• increasing assistant support for disabled pupils with special educational needs, also in other dimensions of life and social functioning.

Ministry Family and Social Policy informed about the start of the next edition of the "Personal Assistant of a Disabled Person" program. Assistant Services personal are a form of support financed under previous editions of this Program (i.e. 2019 -2021) and program "Personal assistant of a person with disabilities" – edition 2020 –2021.

Service assistants have been commissioned to non-governmental organizations on the basis of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and volunteering.

Implementation The "Personal Assistant of a Disabled Person" program is coordinated by the Municipal Social Welfare Center.
