Senior Card awarded is regardless of material status, is issued free of charge and on time indefinite. It is intended for people over 60 years of age and are registered in the City of Elk.

In 2022, a total of 505 were issued Senior Cards.

The main assumption of the Charter is m.in increasing access to the cultural, recreational and recreational offer sports activities organised by the partners, as well as strengthening the role of the the function of the oldest inhabitants of the city and the improvement of their material conditions.

The card entitles you to:

·         25% off from the ticket you are entitled to, in accordance with the current price list for services (courts, ice rink, water park, rope park, gym, sauna, fitness, swimming lessons) organized by the Municipal Sports and Recreation Center,

·         50% discount on offers and participation in events organized by the Historical Museum in Elk

·         20 % discount on events, whose sole organizer is the Ełk Cultural Center and tickets for films in the ECK cinema in the amount of PLN 10 (except for screenings for which a discount for seniors are determined separately: Senior in the cinema, retransmissions and others),

·         discounts on the use of Offers of partners of the action – entrepreneurs from Ełk who will join the initiative of the "Ełk Senior Card" on the basis of an agreement.

Card applications can be submitted to the Department of Social Policy of the City of Ełk:

·         by mail electronic to the address f.mosiej@um.elk.pl,

·         and by post to address: Ełk City Hall, Department of Social Policy, Piłsudskiego 2, room No. 15 with the note "Ełk Senior Card".

From 1 April 2016 to 31 December 2022, the Department of Social Policy received 5892 applications for issuing the Ełk Senior Card, while 4676 cards were issued. So far 31 partners joined the city's action, including 28 private ones Entrepreneurs.

Ełk Senior Card affects to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of our city. Great interest enjoys the offer of the m.in Municipal Sports and Recreation Center in Ełk and Ełk Cultural Center, which proves high activity - both physical and and cultural Ełk seniors. It is also an expression of their care for health, well-being, as well as the desire to satisfy cultural needs.
