Museum Historical in Ełk invites you to an open lecture prof. dr hab. Norbert Kaspark entitled: The January Uprising – myths and reality. The speech will take place on February 23, 2023 at 18.00.

Prof. dr hab. Norbert Kasparek, historian, Institute of University History Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in Olsztyn. Research interests:

• Uprisings, rebellions, revolutions throughout the nineteenth century;

• Emigration (Polish society, political thought, culture and art on emigration);

• History Military;

• Borderlands and borderland;

• Diarymaking;

• Editing sources of the nineteenth century.

But discussion of basic historical facts prof. dr hab. Norbert Kasparek will also refer in his lecture to myths that have grown up around this topic, and will also touch on its echoes in the area then Prussia.
