The City of Ełk on the basis of the Act on Higher Education and Science based on the contract concluded 15 February 2023, will be handed over to the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn – Branch in Ełk, a targeted subsidy in the amount of PLN 225,222.00.

The grant will be used to finance purchase of equipment for the laboratory of genetics, microbiology and parasitology, necessary to conduct classes in the field of nursing at the first level of studies degree, conducted in stationary mode.

First-cycle studies in the field of nursing operates at the Ełk branch of the UWM in Olsztyn since the academic year 2020/2021.

In the current academic year, in the field of 71 people study nursing at the UWM in Olsztyn – Branch in Ełk.

The funds come entirely in the budget of the City of Ełk.
