The White Lily Awards are awarded annually from 2007. The idea of the award is to distinguish people who have their own in a special way With their daily work, activity and commitment, they serve the city and its inhabitants and contribute to the promotion of Ełk.

Prizes are awarded to natural persons, legal entities and other entities for special achievements in the previous calendar year, or for lifetime achievement in 8 categories:

- Patron of Sport,

- Athlete of the Year,

- Artistic Award,

- Patron of Culture,

- Ambassador of Elk,

- Entrepreneur of the Year,

- an attitude worthy of imitation,

- Special Prize.

The prize is awarded at the request of:

- the President of the City of Ełk,

- Chairman of the Ełk City Council or group 5 Councilors

- other government bodies, and self-government,

- non-governmental and social organizations, economic, professional, trade union,

- local, regional and national media,

- groups of 25 adult natural persons, permanently residing in the city of Ełk.

Applications may be submitted to the General Registry of the Office City of Elk or send by mail.
