International Nurses Day and Midwives, which falls on 12 May, is an excellent opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation for those who practice this profession. On this occasion, today in The Ełk Cultural Center held a ceremony, hosted by the president Elk Tomasz Andrukiewicz. The President thanked the nurses, nurses and Midwives for the commitment and effort accompanying the care of the sick, expressed deep Recognition and wishes.

The meeting was attended by: representatives of the Pro – Medica Sp. z o.o. Hospital in Ełk, 1st Military Hospital Clinical with Policlinic SPZOZ in Lublin – Branch in Ełk together with nurses, nurses and midwives, as well as representatives of the House Social Assistance in Nowa Wieś Ełka.

It also hosted a group of nursing and midwifery, m.in. from Ełk medical facilities, "Rainbow Home" of the Social Welfare Home run by the Congregation of the Sisters Benedictine Missionaries in Ełk and Primary Health Care entities.

There were also representatives University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn – Branch in Ełk with employees and students of nursing, which operates in the Ełk branch from academic year 2020/2021.

Those present could take advantage of the advice available at the information stand of UWM and Scanmed group and the City of Ełk Faculty of Social Policy.

Later in the ceremony There will be a lecture part on m.in promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event was accompanied by artistic performances.
