VIII edition of the Festival of Classical Music "Elk for Three Octaves"

Lovers of classical music will be able to take part in the next one VIII edition of the "Elk for Three Octaves" Festival, which will take place on August 24-27 in the Amphitheater of the Ełk Cultural Center.

Festival program:

24 AUGUST (THURSDAY) | 7.00 p.m. | Bel piacere: Baroque summer concert

  • Margaret Trojanowska – soprano

Margaret Trojanowska - education She began her musical career by playing the violin (music school I and II degree). Is graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Faculty of Instrumental and Pedagogical in Bialystok. In 2008 she graduated in conducting in 2011 she obtained a diploma with honors in the solo singing class. She is a laureate of many competitions and national festivals and International. Her repertoire is rich and diverse, including numerous arias and opera and oratorio parts, songs, musical and stage pieces.

Jakub Foltak - a graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice. Participant of the Opera Academy programme at the Teatr Wielki – Opera National in Warsaw. In his repertoire, apart from great works, he has numerous songs, opera arias and solo parts of oratorio works.

Krzysztof Garstka - harpsichordist and Pedagogue, by passion and profession associated primarily with the world of the old opera and seventeenth- and eighteenth-century vocal and instrumental music. Since students fascinated by opera. In 2018, he obtained a PhD in The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, where he works as an assistant professor in the Department of Organ and Harpsichord. He is also a graduate of postgraduate studies in Switzerland. Awarded several times during harpsichord competitions.

Gradus ad Parnassum - team instrumental of early music. Founded in 2012 under the leadership of artistic by Krzysztof Garstka. He has many concerts and projects in his achievements related to historical performance. A permanent element of the team's activity there are cyclical concerts as part of the "Camera Pro Classica" Festival in Sejny, where The band started its activity. The musicians of Gradus ad Parnassum are also members of the Baroque Orchestra of the Opera Academy at the Grand Opera Theatre National in Warsaw. The program of the ensemble includes both secular music, as well as sacred. He performs a repertoire from purely instrumental music to large vocal-instrumental forms and stage works.

  • Paul and Piotr Stechek

Miłosz Bachonko - 13-year-old accordionist, artist, composer. During its short, youthful career, he managed to delight Placido Domingo himself with his music, play dozens of concerts on three continents, and receive an ovation for standing in the most famous concert hall in the world – Carnegie Hall in Nowy York. Winner of twenty top places and Grand Prix prizes in competitions and accordion festivals in Poland and abroad. The second musical passion Milosz's composition is. STECHEK - two charismatic brothers Paweł and Piotr are composers, arrangers, music producers, multi-instrumentalists and graduates of the Academy of Music in Katowice. Combining jazz, film music, world music they have developed their artistic and original style.

They will present original compositions that are a musical story about themselves, women and their life, about feeling, passion and beauty of the surrounding world. All tracks They are inspired by women-goddesses from Scandinavian mythology. As a few, on stage they use: violin, piano, accordion, synthesizers, duduk, zurna, fujara, shakuhachi, ney, ukulele or percussion instruments.

Paweł is the creator of music for theatre and film productions and creator of many ensembles. He cooperates with many philharmonics and orchestras as soloist, arranger and composer.

Piotr - as soloist and The multi-instrumentalist has performed in renowned halls in Poland and Europe. He collaborated with many artists and ensembles of the Polish and foreign scene.

"Tribute to Zbigniew Wodecki" – a band that really knows everything about Zbigniew Wodecki. Concert of the Five exceptional artists will surely appeal to the taste of every jazz lover and stage, a fan of old-fashioned style, or those who always want to be in Vanguard.

On a musical journey, commemorating the work of Zbigniew Wodecki, the band will take listeners in Composition:

SUNDAY, AUGUST 27, 2023 | 4:00 p.m. | André Rieu – Love Dwells Among Us

Cinema broadcast of an outdoor concert from Maastricht André Rieu – Love lives among us. Dutch violinist André, who breaks records of sales and popularity Rieu is one of the most beloved artists in the world.
