Concert "REQUIEM" BY W. A. Mozart

Ełk The Cultural Centre invites you to the concert "REQUIEM" by W. A. Mozart performed by the Kontrapunkt choir and soloists. Concerto will take place on November 19 (Sunday) at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Ełk. Admission. Occur: Ełk choir Kontrapunkt under the baton of conductor Rafał Sulima and invited guests.

Margaret Trojanowska – soprano

Graduate two specialisations at the Faculty of Instrumental and Pedagogical Bialystok Fryderyk Chopin University of Music – choral conducting and solo singing. She is a laureate of many vocal competitions, a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and Heritage the Marshal of the Podlaskie Voivodeship and the President of the The city of Ełk.

In In 2022, she was awarded the title of Doctor of Musical Arts in the discipline of vocals. Works
with the University of Bialystok and Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.


Kacper Szelążek – countertenor

Casper Szelążek was born in Ełk and graduated from the Faculty of Vocal University of Music
F. Chopin in Warsaw. In 2013 as the best young musician of the year received an offer from the Polish Radio recording of Szymanowski's works and representing Polish at the EBU Young Talent Competition in Bratislava. From that moment on, He performs on many Polish and foreign stages. Works also with many world-class orchestras. In May 2016 received the Carlo Maria Giulini Award at the International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw.


Ks. Prof. Zdzisław Madej, Ph.D. – Tenor

Priest Archdiocese of Wrocław, Rector of St. Martin's Church in Wroclaw. Pastor of the Creative Circles of the Archdiocese Wroclaw Street. Director of the Department of Church Music and Singing Liturgical Congregation of the Wrocław Metropolitan Curia, Director of the Metropolitan Organist School in Wrocław. Singer Doctor of Philosophy and Theology. Head of the Department of Vocal Studies at the Academy The Krzysztof Penderecki Music School in Krakow, where he conducts solo singing class.

In In 2013 he was awarded the degree of habilitated doctor in the field of arts in the artistic discipline of vocals, and in 2020 from the hands of President Andrzej Duda was awarded the title of professor. In the seasons 2013 – 2019 he was a guest soloist of the Opera Wroclaw Street.

Performs in Poland and abroad. In 2021, he was awarded the BRONZE MEDAL "GLORIA ARTIS FOR SERVICE TO CULTURE" and in 2022 the Medal of the Commission National Education.


Ks. Zbigniew Stępniak – vocalist (bass, bass-profondo)

Is a graduate of the Faculty of Vocal and Acting at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. He also graduated from the Hosianum Major Seminary in Olsztyn, the Institute of Music of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He completed his doctoral studies at the Musicology Section Theoretical and Applied Faculty at UKSW, where in 2011 he defended his thesis doctoral dissertation. He received his habilitation degree at the Faculty of Vocal and Acting Awards at the Academy of Music in Poznań in 2019.

Works professor at the Institute of Music of the University of Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. He gives concerts in Poland and abroad. Recorded eight solo albums. He has more than twenty scientific achievements lectures at international scientific conferences in Poland and abroad (mainly in Russia, Bulgaria and Belarus).

In Its repertoire includes works by composers from the Renaissance to contemporaneities: operatic bass arias, songs, works oratorios and cantatas, especially rarely performed compositions Baroque for Basso-Profondo.
