Museum Historical in Ełk invites you to St. Nicholas Day at MHE on December 6th. The event starts at 4:30 p.m.

Hours. 16.45 joint firing of the "Christmas locomotive" (before MHE building)

Hours. 16.45-19.30 meeting with Santa Claus (mail car)

Hours. 17.00 vernissage of the exhibition "The World of Toruń Gingerbread" + curatorial guided tour (MHE exhibition rooms)

Hours. 5.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.:

•How is it done? Traditional gingerbread baking show (exhibition halls MHE)

•Spectacle theatrical "Believe in Santa Claus" (Education Center Museum)

Hours. 16.30-19.30:

•Workshop tea infusions and decorating gingerbread cookies (Education Center Museum),

•Animations for children (in front of the MHE building),

•Hot tea for everyone (Museum Education Centre).

Exhibition: "The World of Toruń Gingerbread"

Museum Historical Monuments in Ełk invites you to visit the exhibition prepared by the by the District Museum in Toruń and the Society of Friends of the Museum Regional Court in Toruń.

Exposition It presents the history of Toruń's gingerbread making. The exhibition is filled with original museum objects, m.in. moulds for pound cakes and candies from turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Other important elements of the exhibition are copies of objects, as well as mannequins to complement the reconstruction a gingerbread stall, a bakery or a shop from the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries Age.

Exhibition is interactive, and an integral part of the exhibition are workshops on forming and baking decorative gingerbread (at MHE in as part of the educational activities "Around Christmas and Carnival").

Participants Meetings prepare decorative decorative gingerbread with their own hands with traditional shapes and discover the taste of Toruń Gingerbread!

Exhibition can be visited from 6 December to 11 February 2024, from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the exhibition halls of MHE, ul. Track 1.
