Subsidies for co-financing conservation and restoration works works may be awarded to facilities:
1. entered in the register of monuments or the municipal register of monuments,
2. being in poor technical condition,
3. having significant historical, artistic or artistic significance for Ełk tourist and recreational.

The amount to be allocated in the of the competition is: PLN 300 thousand

(residential buildings and other facilities vintage)

The grant may be applied for by entities that have legal title to a building entered in the register of monuments and are not included in the public finance sector, i.e. natural persons or organizational units having a legal title to the real estate, resulting from the right of ownership, perpetual usufruct, permanent administration, limited right in rem or obligation, in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Protection of Monuments and care of monuments.

Applications can be submitted from 2 January to 16 February 2024 (at the General Office of the The City of Ełk, room 02).

The grant may include, m.in:

• protection, preservation and consolidation of the monument,
• structural stabilization of components monument or their restoration,
• renewal or supplementation of plaster and architectural cladding, or their complete restoration taking into account the colours characteristic of this monument,
• renewal or complete restoration of windows, including frames and shutters, exterior doors, roof trusses, roofing gutters and downspouts,
• damp proofing,
• purchase of conservation and construction materials, necessary to carry out works on the monument,
• purchase and installation of an anti-burglary system and fire protection and lightning protection.

The total amount of the subsidy for conservation works, restoration or construction works on the monument granted by the Minister of competent for culture and protection of national heritage, voivodship conservator of monuments or obtained from other public funds, including the budget of the shall not exceed 100% of the expenditure necessary to carry out the works or works.

Between 2011 and 2022, a total of PLN 2,271,856.90 in grants for monuments were disbursed. In 2023, the city allocated a total of PLN 300,000 for conservation, restoration or construction works on a monument entered in the register of monuments or included in the municipal register of monuments in the City of Ełk.
