Over 50 years together. Presentation of medals for long-term married life

The Mayor of Ełk honored couples today (20 March) married couples who have celebrated at least their 50th wedding anniversary. Medals were awarded to 21 married couples who joined the Ambassadors of Love in our city.
Medals for long-term married life are awarded by the President Republic of Poland. The award is given to couples with at least 50 years of experience seniority. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, he presented the medals to the spouses today President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz accompanied by the Head of the State Office Urszula Ejsmont. The ceremony took place in the Ełk Cultural Centre.
Medals were awarded to 21 couples, including 18 married couples with 51 years of age seniority, 2 couples with 52 years of marriage and one couple who have been married in She has been married for 56 years.
Decorations are awarded at the request of spouses or relatives, who can be submitted to the Registry Office in Ełk.
