This year, the tenth edition of the "Pearls of Local Government" ranking took place, organized by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The winners were announced during the gala on Wednesday, May 18 in Gdynia in four categories: rural communes, urban-rural communes, cities up to 100,000 inhabitants, cities over 100,000. Residents.

In the tenth edition of the "Pearls of Local Government" ranking in the category of cities to 100,000 inhabitants of the city of Ełk took 3rd place, while the mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz received a distinction. On the occasion of the jubilee of the ranking, the organizers also selected the winners of the 10th anniversary of the Pearls of Local Government ranking. Among the municipalities up to 100,000 inhabitants, the city of Ełk took I place.

I am glad that the organizers of the ranking appreciated not only activities of the city of Ełk in the last year, but also over the past years. Title the winner of the 10th anniversary of the Pearls of Local Government is a great distinction for both me as the president, as well as the inhabitants of the city, to whom I dedicate this very award. This daily cooperation, conversations, joint decisions and support in the implementation of tasks, are the basis for the functioning of our local government. I'm glad that together we managed to do so much good for the city and the residents, and it was noticed and appreciated by the jury of the ranking. Participation in the ranking is completely free (on each stage), and the correct course of the selection is supervised by the Ranking Chapter composed of experts on local government, from the world of science, business and journalists of Dziennik Gazeta Prawna. The evaluation of the proposals was based on specific criteria and rules.
