In 2023 in Ełk as part of the implementation "Personal Assistant of a Disabled Person" program - 2023 edition, will be continued activities undertaken in previous editions of this Programme in 2019-2022 and the "Assistant personal disability" – Edition in 2020-2022.

Implementation of the "Assistant Personal Disabled Person" coordinate  will be the Municipal Social Welfare Center.

Goal The program is support in performing daily activities and functioning in social life:

a) children up to 16 years of age with a judgment about disability including indications: permanent necessity or long-term care or assistance from another person in connection with a severely reduced the possibility of independent existence and the need for constant participation in every day the child's guardian in the process of his treatment, rehabilitation and education and

(b) persons disabled persons with a severe or moderate degree disability issued on the basis of the Act of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of disabled people or a judgment equivalent to the abovementioned

The program is financed by the Solidarity Fund, and will be implemented in the period from 1.01.2023 to 31.12.2023, for its purpose Over PLN 1 million was raised.

By the end of 2023, a total of 63 people from Ełk (including 4  children) are planned to support up to 16 years of age with a certificate of disability including indications as above).

Provided Services to limit the impact disability and enable the activity of people with disabilities, and Combat discrimination on grounds of disability and social exclusion of disabled persons.

The services of the assistant will be commissioned to non-governmental organizations on the basis of the Act of 24 April 2003 on public benefit activities and Volunteering.
