In 2023 in Ełk as part of the implementation "Respite Care" 2023 edition, activities from the "Respite Care" Programs will be continued – edition in the years 2019- 2022.

The implementation of the Programme will be coordinated by the Municipal Social Welfare Centre.

Goal of the program is the support of family members or carers directly exercising Care:

1)      children with a ruling on Disability;

2) persons disabled persons having:

a)      a decision of a significant degree disability, or

b)      A judgment treated on a par with the decision referred to in point (a), in accordance with Articles 5 and 62 of the Law of 27 August 1997 on vocational and social rehabilitation and employment persons with disabilities (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 573, as amended).

Program is financed by the Solidarity Fund and will be implemented in the period from 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023, for its purpose MOPS raised PLN 74,027.52.

By the end of 2023, it plans to be supported by 8 people from Ełk (including 1 child up to 16 years of age with a certificate of disability including indications: permanent or long-term necessity care or assistance from another person in connection with significantly reduced capacity independent existence and the need for constant participation on a daily basis guardian of the child in the process of its treatment, rehabilitation and education).

The services provided will allow for temporary relief of family members or carers of disabled people from daily duties connected with caring for a person disabled, providing time for rest and regeneration.
