World Autism Awareness Day falls annually on April 2. Autism Day is a day of solidarity with autistic people, which was established by the UN General Assembly. The initiative aims to: spreading awareness among the public about autism, as well as acceptance people struggling with autism spectrum. The symbol of the action is blue.

In this year, on the initiative of the President of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz, Environmental Self-Help House in Ełk and Ełk mothers of children with autism spectrum, April 1 at At 3.00 p.m. along the Ełk promenade (from the square at Dos Patos – to the Copernicus Park) there will be a march under the slogan "Ełk for Autism". It will be attended by residents of Ełk who stand in solidarity with autism.

Symbol solidarity will be having a blue accent, e.g. a T-shirt, jacket, balloon.
