The local Government Of Elk has been working with non-governmental organisations m.in. by having the implementation of their statutory tasks.

On Wednesday 14 June 2017. Vice President of Elk Artur Urbański ełckich met with representatives of non-governmental organisations in order to sign the contracts for the implementation of the tasks of local government in the year 2017. In the municipality of Elk agreement signed the following organizations:

Prevention of addictions:

·         Association of the usual "My family"-2000 PLN

Education and upbringing:

·         "GALAXY"-1000 PLN

Summer vacation of children and youth:

·         Society of friends of Children-$ 4000

Culture and protection of national heritage:

·         City volunteer fire department-$ 7000

·         Masurian scientific society-$ 2800

Physical culture and sport:

·         Foundation for the development of Sport "4 ALL"-4000 zł

·         Ełk Bridge Society-$ 5500
