Today (February 14) in the municipality of Elk scholarship award ceremony was held in the fields of artistic singing, dance and music in the year 2018.

About the award of scholarships to art has been requested by 25 people. Having regard to the recommendation of the chapter, which evaluated the proposals, President of Elk picked 11 people. Grantees will receive financial support in order to develop their talents in different fields of art.

Mozart (the role of the count of Belfiora); "Ariodante" g. f. Handel (Lurcania role); "Magic flute" w.a. Mozart (the role of the Prince of thiamine) and "Venetian Carnival" a. Campa (the role of the player). He took part in the concert "Requiem in d minor" played m.in. the Elk.

Dominica Krassowska-music
Singer, guitarist, she graduated from the music school wEłku. Successfully participated in numerous competitions and festivals. In the plans is learning Jazz Krystyna team State music schools. F. Chopin in Warsaw.

Victoria Zawistowska-Tyliba-vocals
An outstanding singer-mezzo-soprano, doctoral student with a range of solo singing at the Academy of music. Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, international vocal competitions, she participated in numerous courses and workshops.

Omar Karabulut-music and dance
Student IV year Academy of performing arts. St. took place in Krakow, at the Department of dance in Bytom. Not only has talent, dance and acting, but also stage personality. Winner of numerous awards m.in. for choreography.

Paul Borzeński-music and dance

Artistic scholarships of the Mayor of the city of Elk are awarded from 2013. The scholarship is intended for particularly talented, which represent a high artistic level, living or operating in our city. It is a token of appreciation for the achievements of the candidate, is also a form of support for the further development of artistic artists, creators of culture and art.

Within 5 years were granted a total of 54 scholarships. All areas of artistic, which represented the grantees are: music and dancing-13 people, vocals-5 people, photography – 2 persons, theatre – 2 persons, organisation of cultural projects – 1 person, arts – 2 persons.

The total value of scholarships awarded in the years 2013-2017 is the amount of 228 thousand. zł.
