In the ełckiej subzone Suwałki special economic zone currently operates 36 companies in industries m.in: automotive, construction, electrical, metal, and plastic packaging, printing and paper, as well as furniture, food and wood processing, in which employment has more than 2600 people.

Only in recent years in the ełckiej economic subzone your business lies as many as nine new companies operating in the following sectors: food, construction, transportation and logistics services, LED technology (lighting), vermiculite processing, foil, metal, municipal services.

While five of the already operating entrepreneurs decided to reinvestments by extending their bets. These were the companies in the following industries: production, metal working, production of wire products and furniture.

New investment in the science and Technology Park
Among the companies that have implemented or are implementing new investments three companies (Vermiculite, KOMA and Martex), decided to purchase plots of land from the city. The parcel located within the ełckiej sections in the Scientific-Technological City sold in the years 2016-2017.

The total area of land over 5.2 ha with a total value of more than $2.9 million tender. The company upon receipt of building permits started implementation of planned investment.

SSSE S.A., sub-zone Elk offers to sell domestic and foreign investors investment areas with a total area of 33.2541 ha, in the two complexes:

1. The subzone Elk

·         the area of the total area. approx. 17.4 ha owned SSSE S.

2. Elk subzone of the science and Technology Park

·         the area of the total area. Ok. 15.9 hectares owned by the municipality Of Elk has agreed to the preferences of Suwałki special economic zone
