Thermomodernization of kindergarten "Forgetful"

Municipal Kindergarten "Forgetful" in Elk is another the facility where the thermomodernization will be carried out. The investment will be carried out as part of the project "Thermomodernization of public buildings – Ełów schools and kindergartens." Thanks to EU funding, the institutions will gain new and reduce the cost of maintaining them.

An agreement was signed with contractor of the thermomodernization of the Kindergarten "Nieforgetjka" in Elk at ul. Slovak 18. Works will be carried out as part of the project mon. "Thermomodernization of public buildings – Ełów schools and kindergartens" from the Regional Operational Programme of the Province 2014-2020 co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The scope of the contract includes m.in:

Execution demolition and earthworks,
Warming Building
Exchange window and door joinery,
Renovation roofing material,
Exchange sheet metal processing,
Renovation Chimneys
Exchange central heating system,
Exchange hot water installation,
Exchange lightning installation,
Exchange cellar wells,
Rebuilding basement windows,
Renovation railings and steel window grilles.

Phu will work Marta Machaj from Elk. The cost of the work is almost 500 thousand. $1.00. Expected deadline the end of October 2020.

The city of Elk has raised over PLN 8 million from the EU for thermomodernization of 4 Ełów kindergartens and 2 city schools. These will be:

1. Kindergarten "Sunny Eight" at ul. Dobrzański 3 in Elk (Agreement signed in February 2020)

2. Kindergarten "Forget", at ul. Slovak 18 in Elk (Agreement signed in May 2020)

3. Kindergarten "Light" at ul. Toruńska 8a in Elk (Agreement signed in February 2020)

4. Kindergarten "Mali Explorers" at ul. Handcuffs 8a in Elk (Agreement signed in December 2019)

5. Primary School No. 9 at ul. Gloomy Beer 1 in Elk (Agreement signed in May 2020)

6. Primary School No. 3 at ul. Grodno 1 in Elk. (Agreement signed in April 2020)

The total value of the investment is over PLN 11.8 million. The own contribution of the City of Elk is over PLN 3.8 million. The funds come from Regional Operational Programme of the Warmia and Mazury Voivodeship for years 2014 – 2020.

Thermomodernization of the building reduces the demand for heat and thus reduces the cost of its while improving thermal comfort. Also thermomodernization of the building consists in the introduction of changes that will reduce the heat escape and provide more economical and energy-efficient heating interior and water.
