Continuation pre-school education (14– 18 February)

From February 14 can make declarations of continuation of pre-school education. Declarations can be submit by February 18, 2022. If the parent does not submit a declaration of continuation, the child is not provided with a place in the kindergarten/preschool class in primary school!

Parents of children currently attending kindergartens, kindergarten classes in public primary school submit in writing declarations of continuation of pre-school education for the school year 2022/2023 in kindergartens/schools to which their children attend.

Recruitment for kindergartens (21 February – 11 March)

From 21 €/m² February will start recruitment for kindergartens run by the City of Ełk for new children. Applications for admission to a kindergarten/preschool class at school The basic one can be submitted until March 11.

Children aged 3 to 6 years of age participating in the recruitment process in the area of the city of Ełk, which in the school year 2020/2021 did not attend public kindergartens.

If, after carrying out recruitment procedures public kindergarten still has free in places, a follow-up procedure shall be carried out.

How do I apply?

There are 2 ways to apply for admission of a child to a kindergarten/preschool class in a primary school:

• filling in the application electronically via the website Internet (a printout of the application is submitted to the facility to whose child is applying for admission)
• submission of a hand-filled paper application to the institution, (an employee of the kindergarten/school will enter the application into the system)

Electronic recruitment system

Application of the electronic system recruitment gives the opportunity to take full advantage of Places. Recruitment to kindergartens conducted by the city of Ełk will be conducted from February 21 to March 11, 2022.

On these days, a website dedicated to electronic Recruitment. A guide containing the offer will be available on the website kindergartens and preschool classes in primary schools located in the city of Ełk.

Recruitment criteria

About the admission of a child to a kindergarten/preschool class The order of applications does NOT decide criteria only the first and second stages of recruitment.

Recruitment procedure is run by a recruitment committee appointed by the head of the nursery school Base.

At the first stage of the procedure recruitment are taken into account the following statutory criteria in total:

1.      large number of children the candidate's family;

2.      disability candidate;

3.      disability one of the candidate's parents;

4.      disability both parents of the candidate;

5.      disability siblings of the candidate;

6.      Lonely raising the candidate in the family;

7.      placing the candidate in foster care.
