Children from Ukraine get to know our city

Group of children and young people from Ukraine together with their guardians visited the Ełk Centre today Culture. Guests got to know the offer of free classes that the institution offers, and in which they may participate in. They visited m.in recording studio, workshop room pottery and cinema. The president of Ełk also met with the guests.

In Ełk there is a group of ten children and young people from Ukraine aged 10-18, which found refuge by fleeing the war with Russia. She came to us thanks to the kindness and help of Mr. Mieczysław Wasilewski.

Today, together with their guardians, they visited the Ełk Cultural Centre. The meeting was also attended by the president of Ełk, Tomasz Andrukiewicz. Together with ECC Director Aneta Werla presented the facility and the offer of our institution Culture. The children also talked about their diverse interests, m.in. playing the piano, guitar, singing, dancing, playing chess and learning at school.
