Grants from the city budget are granted for objects entered in the register of monuments or municipal register of monuments, being in poor technical condition, having for Ełk is of significant historical, artistic or tourist and recreational significance. The grant can be applied for by entities that have a legal title to the object entered in the register of monuments and are not included in the financial sector Public.

Today (7 April) in the city hall, the mayor of Ełk signed five contracts in as part of the Competition for granting grants for conservation works, restoration or construction works at a monument entered in the register of monuments or located in the municipal register of monuments, located in the City Elk in 2022 The cost of all grants awarded is PLN 200,000.

Granted grants in 2022:

• Housing Community at Wawelska 12 in Ełk
  Roof renovation (demolition of the covering, patching, chimneys, replacement of cover with vapour-permeable insulation, flashing, embedding of 4 roof windows, replacement of tiles, installation of a snow ladder)

• Housing Community at 9 Wojska Polskiego Street in Ełk
  Renovation of the façade (insulation of walls outside ground floor and first floor of the front façade from the side of WP Street and the walls semi-western part of the upper part on the ground floor level, which have a historic character, under-insulated facades will be painted, making concrete bands outside the wall front)

• Housing Community at 5 Wojska Polskiego Street in Ełk
  Roof renovation (demolition of roofing material) and patching, 3 chimneys, dismantling of flashings, location of insulation vapour permeable, patching, installation of new gutters, execution tile coverings, snow ladders, flashing)

• Housing Community at 4 Moniuszki Street in Ełk
  Performing conservation research, design documentation and development of a program of conservation works.

• Evangelical Methodist Church Parish of Divine Love in Ełk at 26 Słowackiego Street
  Painting the façade (supplementing cavities, priming and painting of external walls)
