Lung cancer is one of the most dangerous cancers malignant – at an early stage does not give symptoms. At the same time only detection At an early stage, it gives a chance to fully cure the disease. It has been proven that only a tomographic examination is effective in the prevention of this dangerous Disease.

The National Program for Early Detection of Lung Cancer gives chances of diagnosis even in the first stage. It is based on the use of low-dose computed tomography. Computed tomography tests are performed in healthy (asymptomatic) people belonging to the high group risk of developing lung cancer. Ultimately, the doctor qualifies for the study.

Predicted the start of the program in Ełk is the second half of September this year.

Candidates for the examination identified by the doctor of a family with a completed qualification questionnaire and a referral for the examination will be sign up for registration.

Other patients who think they should have the performed examination will be qualified by the Ełk Pro-Medica doctor after delivery of the completed survey. After a positive qualification, the doctor issues referral for examination.

The program is implemented under a signed contract for implementation of the National Oncology Strategy.
