Co-financing for the implementation of the project "The City of Ełk - effectively against violence" as part of the Government Programme Reducing Crime and Antisocial Behavior "Together Safer" was awarded to the Ełk MOPS.

Project is a continuation of the actions taken in the area of counteracting violence in the family in Ełk and will be implemented from October 1 to December 31.

Goal of the project is m.in raising awareness of social threats local safety and effective methods of prevention.

The total value of the project is 68 000 PLN Co-financing from the program is PLN 53,800, and own contribution from the City budget Ełk - 14 200 PLN.

Assumptions Project:

• Classes development and support in ECRS - developing activity and interests, building self-esteem, intended for children and adolescents as well as seniors,
• Counselling at ECRS - Individual consultations with specialists, including: lawyer, psychologist, child psychologist, pedagogue/speech therapist, family addiction therapist, sociotherapist for children and adolescents.
• Campaigns social - inclusion of the inhabitants of Ełk in the organization of the nationwide orange and white ribbon campaign against violence and harm to children and youth and stop violence against women
• Competition poetry for primary schools - poetry on anti-violence and anti-discrimination themes
• Workshop fairy tale therapy in kindergartens in the city of Ełk, lesson on the subject road safety, cybersecurity,
• Projection film as an introduction to conversations with young people about cyberbullying, harmfulness of substances psychoactive and aggression among peers for students of grades 7-8 from primary schools
• Workshop at school – classes for young people in grades 5-6 – counteracting cyberbullying and harmfulness of psychoactive substances
• Workshop self-defense for seniors (Senior Club in Ełk), sensitization to fraud, theft, extortion, Seizures.
• Organization a concluding conference combined with a debate on child safety and young people from the city of Ełk
