"The Splendor of Truth" – under this slogan will be held in next Sunday (16 October) XXII Papal Day.

This day is celebrated every year on Sunday preceding the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyla to the See of Peter (16 October 1978).

As every year, on Sunday the Foundation "Work of the New" Millennia" collects funds to support talented and poor young people from small Village. The diocesan celebration of the Papal Day is scheduled for Sunday on Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Ełk. There, at 3.00 p.m., it will be held Holy Mass, which will be presided over by Bishop Jerzy Mazur.

Initiative as part of this year's celebration of the XXII Papal Day:

• 17 October (Monday) in the auditorium of the Ełk Centre Culture at 5.00 p.m. the Final Concert of the Recitation Competition and Vocal "The Splendor of Truth" (Veritatis Splendor), free admission.
  

• 18 October (Tuesday) the Papal Run will take place, i.e. cross-country runs of girls and boys of schools basic, starts from 11.15 a.m. at John Paul II Square in Ełk. Program competitions and details at: www.mosir.elk.pl
