All persons over 30 years of age can take part in a free hearing test, which will take place on March 6 in 9.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m. The hearing bus in which the tests will be carried out will be set in front of the Ełk City Hall.

What is the test in Słuchbus?

Hearing test (tonal audiometry) is painless and non-invasive. The test takes about 10 minutes and allows you to pre-determine the nature and depth of your hearing loss.

The patient assumes The headphones and successively to each ear (not to both at the same time) are sent sounds of varying intensity. The patient's task is to press the button in the moment he hears a sound.

The tests will take place without registration.

Video Translator in the "Pro – Medica" Hospital in Ełk Sp. z Oo.

From the beginning of February in the city Hospital "Pro-Medica" in Ełk Sp. z o.o. people with dysfunction hearing can communicate in sign language with hospital staff. Is it is possible using a Video Interpreter, i.e. a service consisting in a video-conversation with a translation from the Polish Association Deaf in Lodz. The language of communication is Polish sign language (PJM) or Sign Language System (SJM). It can be used during a visit to the city Hospital "Pro-Medica" without the need to make an appointment.

In the "Pro-Medica" Hospital in Ełk Sp. z Oo.  at 24 Baranki Street in Ełk available there are 3 stations where you can use the Video Interpreter on working days from Monday to Friday:

1. Registration of Specialist Clinics including at the level "0" – at the exit to hospital – Monday to Thursday from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., on Friday in 8.00-17.00,

2. Secretariat located on level "5" of the Hospital – from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.,

3. Emergency Room located on level "-1" Hospital – from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
