The Congress of the Future is one of the most important events taking place in Warmia and Mazury, which creates for academic environments, business and local government, an opportunity to discuss, exchange experiences and knowledge. In This year's edition of the congress discussed m.in such issues as: Security of the Polish state, directions of development of the region and the future of the voivodship Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. The organizer of the event is Gazeta Olsztyńska and Dziennik Elbląski.

As part of the VII Congress of the Future, which took place on May 16, 2023 in Olsztyn, the organizer awarded for the first time in history companies and organizations that contribute to building a positive image of Warmia and Masuria and the development of the region. The "Brand of Warmia and Mazury" award was awarded to the 8th Institutions. Among the honored was our city, which was appreciated for the brand "Ełk, tu wracam".

The President of Ełk, receiving the award, expressed satisfaction with the development of the city so far.

- Our slogan is "Elk, I'm coming back here". To the city for many years, residents have been returning, entrepreneurs are investing, the construction of Via routes is underway Baltica, Rail Baltica, the military has returned. We are proud that we can develop Looking to the future, building on the past and taking advantage of this moment in which Now we are. I dedicate this award to the residents, because they contribute to Development. Thank you for noticing our city and I invite you to Ełk – said the president Tomasz Andrukiewicz.

In 2009, the city of Ełk began work on creating a new logotype and promotional slogan as well as the Identification System Visual. From the next year until today, Ełk consistently uses these elements in its promotional activities.
