On the Ełk Sobriety Forum under the slogan "Family with addiction – together or separately?" invites the president of Ełk together with co-organizer of the Sober Life Association in Ełk. The Forum will be held in Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 4.00 p.m. at the Ełk Revitalization Center Kościuszki 27A in Ełk.

Goal The event is to promote a healthy lifestyle and leisure activities without Stimulants. The meeting will also be an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, and also discuss the issue of how to live and function in a society without alcohol.

Forum It will consist of two parts, in the first part of education and information lectures will be conducted by working professionals in drug treatment entities. They will also be presented the possibility for the residents of Ełk to use professional and free assistance in Family Counseling Center and activities carried out by the Sober Association Life in Elk. The special guest of the event will be Jakub Zając – author of the book "HALT - notes from the house of sobriety", in which he moved problems of addiction and therapy in a rehab center.

After The educational panel ended, for about 19.30-20.30, the participants will be can benefit from individual consultations with professionals conducting psychotherapy of addicts/co-addicts on a daily basis and/or a person providing advice at consultation and information points for persons addicts/co-addicts.

Second part of the event is a non-alcoholic dance meeting with music, which is a great opportunity for fun and integration, mutual support and cheering in sobriety. Planned end of the meeting at 24.00.

The event is organized as part of the ongoing Elk Family Days.
