Governmental The Monument Reconstruction Program is addressed to communes, districts and provinces and consists in co-financing investment tasks related to the protection of monuments and care for monuments. The funds could be used for conservation works, restoration and construction works at the monument carried out by units local government or for granting a local government subsidy for such Works.

Funding The program could amount to a maximum of 98 percent. investment value, and the minimum own contribution – 2 percent.

In our city Co-financing was granted to:

1. Renovation of the historic a residential building at 21 Chopina Street in Ełk (PLN 490,000) – urban investment
2. Renovation of the historic Wojska Polskiego 38 in Ełk (PLN 490,000) – local government subsidy
3. Parish of St. Adalbert in Ełk for the renovation of stained glass (78 thousand. PLN) and renovation and maintenance of the roof truss with partial replacement attic elements (PLN 49 thousand) – local government subsidy

Including Our city received funding in the amount of PLN 1 million 107 thousand.

In Under the programme, applicants could apply for support in one of three categories: up to PLN 150 thousand, up to PLN 500 thousand and up to PLN 3.5 million.

In the first stage of the Government Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments received over 20,000. Applications. 4 808 projects received funding for a total amount of over 2.5 PLN billion.
