On Wednesday 13 September at John Paul II Square from 3.30 p.m. will begin donating tree seedlings. Anyone who brings e-waste with them He will receive a sapling seedling for them. As part of the "Garbage you give away - you get a tree" Mayor of Ełk Tomasz Andrukiewicz will pass 500 pieces of seedlings of spruces, pines, birches and oaks.

The idea of the action is to actively care for the natural environment and remind how important it is to segregation, especially of e-waste, which contains numerous substances harmful and poisonous. The most important, however, is the educational aspect, i.e. making residents aware that this type of waste must not be disposed of as ordinary trash can and should be handled appropriately.

One A tree seedling will be issued for 10 pieces of batteries or small electrolitter (phone, charger, computer mouse)

Every A participant of the action can receive a maximum of two trees.

Action is organized by the Ełk City Hall for the 7th time. So far, the Elks They received and planted 3,000 trees.
