The City of Ełk joined the development of the Municipal Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the city of Ełk until 2030 r.

The aim of adaptation measures is to ensuring an appropriate level of safety and comfort of life for residents and users of the city. Elaboration  will allow for the coordination of local activities and undertakings minimising the negative economic, social and social impacts of the and environmental impacts resulting from climate change and undertaken by the city.

In order to obtain opinions, comments and proposals for changes by the inhabitants of Ełk regarding the provisions of the of the project "Municipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change for the City of Ełk until 2030 r." From today (25 October) until 7 November , there will be Consultation.

Consultation will be carried out in the following forms:

1. An open consultation meeting to discuss the project document "Municipal Plan of Adaptation to Climate Change for the City of Ełk until 2030 year'. During the meeting, comments on the draft document will be collected.

Welcome residents of Ełk to a meeting on the draft document entitled "Municipal Plan Adaptation to climate change for the City of Ełk until 2030", which will take place on 30 October at the Centre for Environmental Education at Parkowa Street in Ełk in from 16:00 to 17:00.

In During the meeting, there will be a discussion on the diagnosis of threats climate change in our city.

Changes climate change is one of the greatest environmental, social and social and economic developments. Therefore, in order to be able to effectively prevent these phenomena, we have started working on the development of the Municipal Plan for Adaptation to Changes climate change strategy paper that will effectively counteract the identified problems, increasing the city's resilience to projected changes and their consequences. Dedicated activities have been designed primarily aimed at improving the quality of life in the city. These activities, in the coming years, will require, on the one hand, strong support organisational and legal situation at local level, on the other hand, society and the individuals responsible for their implementation.

2. Collecting comments in paper form using the consultation form available here and in the Public Information Bulletin. A completed form along with with the data processing clause can be submitted at the seat of the Ełk City Hall or send by post to the address of the local Office,

3. Collecting comments in electronic form - providing a scan of the consultation form together with the clause of data processing by e-mail on the basis of the E-mail address: mk@um.elk.pl

Comments to the project "Municipal Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change for the City of Ełk until 2030" must be submitted by November 7, 2023:

-By by correspondence to the following address: Ełk City Hall, 4 Piłsudskiego Street, 19-300 Ełk;

-Passing oral comments to the minutes directly during the consultation duty of the Faculty of Municipal Property, 4 Piłsudskiego Street,  Room 247 - Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

After consultation will be followed by a report to be drawn up which will be published on the website of the Ełk City Hall and in the Bulletin Information.
