Retransmission Christmas concert "Snow Christmas with André Rieu" and his Johann Strauss Orchestra at the Ełk Cultural Centre scheduled for December 30 at 5:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

André Léon Marie Nicolas Rieu was born on October 1, 1949 in Maastricht, Dutch violinist, composer and conductor founder of the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

In From 1968 to 1973 he studied violin at the Conservatory Royal Liège and the Maastricht Conservatoire. In the years From 1974 to 1977 he continued his studies with André Gertler in Brussels. Royal Conservatoire, from which he graduated with honours Premier Prix.

In In 1987 he founded the Johann Strauss Orchestra, which was originally It consisted of twelve musicians. Their first concert was played on January 1, 1988. Currently, the orchestra consists of 80-150 musicians.
