The White Lily Awards are presented annually from 2007. The idea of the award is to distinguish people who in a special way With their daily work, activity and commitment, they serve the city and its inhabitants and contribute to the promotion of Ełk.

The prizes are awarded to natural persons, legal entities and other entities for outstanding achievements in the previous calendar year or for lifetime achievement in 8 categories:

1. Patron of Sport,
2. Sportsman of the Year,
3. Artistic Award,
4. Patron of Culture,
5. Ambassador of Ełk,
6. Entrepreneur of the Year,
7. An exemplary attitude,
8. Special Award.

The prize is awarded at the request of:

• Mayor of the City of Ełk,
• Chairman of the Ełk City Council or group 5 Councilors
• other government bodies and local government,
• NGOs, social organisations, economic, professional, trade unions,
• local, regional and regional media National
• groups of 25 natural persons of legal age, residing in the city of Ełk.

Applications can be submitted to the General Chancellery of the Office The city of Ełk or send by post.
