The best students received scholarships

The Mayor of Ełk awarded 31 scholarships for active social inclusion and academic performance. The scholarship award ceremony took place today (14 March) at the Town Hall. A chance for further scholarships in the autumn.

The Mayor of Ełk awards scholarships twice a year pupils of municipal primary schools (grades V-VIII) and the Lyceum in the Sports School Complex, who demonstrate significant social activities and achieve very good academic results.

For the scholarship period from January 1 to June 30, 2024. 58 applications were received. The President awarded 31 scholarships, which went to the best Pupils of urban schools:

- Primary School No. 1 in Ełk – 3 students,

- Danuta Siedzikówna "Inka" Primary School No. 2 in Ełk – 2 students,

- H. Sienkiewicz Primary School No. 3 in Ełk – 4 Students

- Primary School No. 4 named after Prof. Wł. Szafera in Ełk – 7 Students

- M. Konopnicka Primary School No. 5 in Ełk – 3 Students

- Sports Primary School No. 6 in the School Complex Sports School in Ełk – 2 students,

- Primary School No. 7 with Integration Classes in Ełk – 2 students,

- John Paul II Primary School No. 9 in Ełk – 6 Students

- High School in the Sports School Complex in Ełk – 2 students.

The scholarship may be awarded to a student who:

- is active and involved in social activities in the for the benefit of the local, school and peer environment,

- achieves very good academic results (average for the last school year - not less than 4.5 and at least a good grade in behaviour).

Scholarships are worth PLN 150 (classes V and VI), PLN 200 (class V and VI). VII and VIII) and PLN 250 in high school per month
and will be paid directly in schools.

Another Scholarships will be awarded in the fall for the scholarship period from September 1 to 31 December 2024, covering the student's achievements for the 2023/2024 school year (application deadline is 15 September).
